American Paper Optics, LLC, along with DreamWorks Animation and PepsiCo’s SoBe Lifewater, has joined together with Intel Corporation and NBC to create a first-of-its kind, nationwide ‘Monstrous’ 3D event for Super Bowl XLIII. Over 125 million 3D glasses will be distributed to the public in what is being called one of the biggest media-advertising events in history. John Jerit has found a new home for his company, American Paper Optics -- a new and bigger home.

The 3D glasses manufacturer has more than 40 employees working cheek by jowl at its 13,000-square-foot factory in Bartlett, so the company is moving into a 27,000-square-foot building on A.E. Beaty Drive early next year. The new building, which is several blocks from the current location, will enable American Paper to sell its old building and consolidate warehousing operations that are now in two other buildings that the company leases.

American Paper Optics, LLC has completed production of more than 40 million 3D glasses for the DVD release of Disney's "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour," a deal worth about $4.5 million.

The Memphis-based manufacturer of 3D technology needed to increase capacity and almost double its warehousing space just to handle the deal, which included contracts with Disney, Wal-Mart and TV Guide.

The hit "Hannah Montana" movie will be nearly unavoidable on television this month in every dimension. But it’s the folks at American Paper Optics, LLC (“APO”) that will be ready to escape and move on to their next massive project. APO recently produced over 25 million 3D glasses for the new Hannah Montana movie “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” premiering on the Disney Channel on Sat., July. 26 at 8pm/7c. The 3D movie will also begin showing on Starz on Demand and Starz HD on Demand channels on Sunday, July 27.

Although not many companies easily recognize American Paper Optics, they do recognize its product, like the one incorporated into Sports Illustrated (SI) Magazine's wildly anticipated swimsuit edition which features a 15-page section of swimsuit models. American Paper Optics helped the publication deliver the Maui photo session in vivid eye-popping 3D. SI chose to enhance the section with 6,500,000 paper 3D glasses inserts - equivalent to 3 and a half (40-ft.) truckloads of paper eye glasses.

Bartlett , Tenn. , September 19, 2005: American Paper Optics has cornered the 3D marketplace by capturing multi-million piece orders from many high profile customers. John Jerit, a start-from-scratch 3D glasses manufacturer, has seemingly caught the brass ring with mega-clients Mattel, Warner Brothers, TV Guide, and VH-1 to name a few. With nearly 28 million 3D glasses to produce between May and Oct. of 2005, American Paper Optics is running full-scale, around-the-clock production in a 13,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility just outside of Memphis, Tenn.

Effective October 15, 2002, American Paper Optics is the owner of the exclusive license for the ChromaDepth® technology as well as the manufacturing equipment for the patented optics.

Bartlett , Tenn. , April 15, 2002: American Paper Optics announces a donation of funds resulting from sales of “American Eyes,” a product launched in the wake of the catastrophic events of Sept. 11 th. John Jerit, creator of the patriotic paper 3D eyeglasses, developed the line in October 2001 to help families of the terrorist attacks.

Bartlett , Tenn. , October 4, 2001: American Paper Optics introduces “American Eyes,” patriotic paper eyeglasses with a portion of the proceeds from the product to benefit the families of the Sept. 11 th tragedies. “American Eyes” glasses create the letters “ USA” on any bright point of light and are activated while viewing city lights, fireworks, streetlights, or holiday lights—especially at night.
