American Paper Optics, LLC, along with DreamWorks Animation and PepsiCo’s SoBe Lifewater, has joined together with Intel Corporation and NBC to create a first-of-its kind, nationwide ‘Monstrous’ 3D event for Super Bowl XLIII. Over 125 million 3D glasses will be distributed to the public in what is being called one of the biggest media-advertising events in history. This first-ever 3D commercial event will mark the debut of DreamWorks Animation’s 3D movie trailer for its upcoming feature, “Monsters vs. Aliens.” Manufactured exclusively by American Paper Optics, the specialized 3D glasses will be used to watch a 90 second preview of the animated feature as well as a 30 second 3D commercial for SoBe Lifewater. Don’t throw the glasses away afterwards; the glasses can also be used for viewing a 3D episode of NBC’s hit comedy “Chuck,” airing Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 (8-9pm E.T.)

American Paper Optics has produced over 125 million pairs of Super Bowl 3D glasses, which are being distributed by PepsiCo through the SoBe Lifewater brand. Currently, the 3D glasses are being distributed free to consumers via 25,000 SoBe Lifewater retail displays in grocery, drug and other retail venues until the end of January. Now that is what I call a Touchdown!

American Paper Optics, who is also the optical brain behind such hits as Hannah Montana-Best of Both Worlds Concert as well as the recent Journey to the Center of the Earth, reached an epic milestone with their Super Bowl glasses as it pushed them past the “one billion 3-D glasses distributed” mark. These billion glasses have been distributed worldwide for multi-media promotions and events involving movies, magazines, television, web sites, video games, theme park attractions, and much more. To name a few, APO mega-clients include Disney, National Geographic, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Warner Brothers, Crayola, Sports Illustrated, TV Guide, VH-1, and Dreamworks.

Since the company originated in 1990, APO has become the world leader in manufacturing paper 3D glasses. Founder, John Jerit, transformed a novelty start-up business into a 3D glass empire with multi media products distributed worldwide. With Memphis Business Journal’s “Small Business Executive of the Year” under his belt, John attributes aggressive marketing and customer satisfaction to the company’s successful production and distribution of more than one billion 3D glasses. With a long and proven track record for high quality products and fast turn around, American Paper Optics, LLC has established itself as a global 3D giant.
American Paper Optics, LLC has no plans to slow down and will be relocating their headquarters in the first quarter of 2009, expanding their operations by over 50%. In a brutal and unforgiving economy, APO continues to diversify by striving to reach an ever-expanding 3D world marketplace. With their massive manufacturing capabilities and specialized patented optics, who can blame them?
