Project Information
American Paper Optics manufactured over 134,000,000 patented ColorCode 3D glasses for the 2009 Super Bowl commercials. The commercials featured a 3D movie trailer for the Dreamworks movie Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D as well as a SoBe Lifewater commercial. The 3D glasses were also distributed for viewing an episode of the TV show Chuck. The ColorCode glasses were distributed wherever Pepsi products were sold.

Our optical trek at American Paper Optics has led us to continue to search for new optical solutions, create new 3D configurations, and push technologies to allow us to continue to serve this 3D world. After 30 successful years in business, we found it extremely difficult to showcase even a fraction of the 3D solutions and projects that we have been involved with.  So we created the Historic 3D Jobs and Technology section to showcase just a fraction of the 3D projects we have been involved with over our 30 year journey.  Here you will find some of the largest 3D projects ever produced like 134 million glasses for viewing Super Bowl ads as well as our very first major 3D glasses project for the Freddy’s Dead 3D movie in 1991.

New technologies come and go but they are all part of the great fun we have serving up 3D to the world.  Give us a call with your latest ideas.  Who knows? Your optical invention might make history!
